SF! Update: 77 pages!
April 26th, 2008 adminWhew! I was able to make a sizable dent in catching up my page-count today, putting me within 23 pages of goal. Considering I did 16 pages today, I should be within an arm’s length after another writing session tomorrow. My hope is that I’ll sail across that finish line Monday or Tuesday night and be able to truly have my birthday (the 30th) off. I already have it off from work but the less catch-up I have to do on my own projects (which I would not begrudge the time) the more I get to truly play hooky.
This month has shown me the having the manuscript done by the end of the year is totally doable. What I figure I’ll do is take May off from the hard-core scripting, use June to work on Act II, July off, and then August to either finish Act II or begin Act III. Even if Acts II and III take 2 months each, I’ll still have a working manuscript ready for thumbnails by January ‘09. Cool, huh? I also want to have model sheets for each of the characters done around January. Knowing who all is going to be in the project will give me an edge to do a lot of group line-ups and studies to make sure each person is a little different from the others but in a reliable fashion. I’m really looking forward to that part of the project!
